New Yes, but would it be kosher?
New perhaps
if the bacteria is classified as a fish then no as it has no scales. If classified as a plant then the resultant "meat" would be vegetable and therefore kosher in the way honey is kosher

New probably not as it would be haram under Islamic rulings

New OK then, I guess I'll have to scrap my plan . . .
. . to market kosher pork.
New modify the genome for a cloven hoof
and a whole new food market opens up. 5 years from design to the kosher bacon
