New Google malware death sentence
I inherited a site.
It has about 60 days before being replaced (phase II of vendor negotiations, 6 months in development already done).
The site allowed a sql injection.
Sql injection redirected our users to malware sites.

Google was not amused.
Firefox was not amused.

Both warn our customers away. There will be no orders on this site until Google and Firefox agree it is OK.

I reloaded the databases, patches the obvious sql injection point (there are more, I will review the logs and patch accordingly).

I submitted a scan request to Google.

It said it might take a few weeks.

ARRGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I am not amused.

Anyone know how to push a site up in the scan list?
New Stopbadware.org seems to be the place to go.

HTH. Good luck.

(via a story at CNet - http://news.cnet.com...-malware-warning/ .)

Cheers,
Scott.
New It became ok about 4PM yesterday
Google says 2 weeks just to shut you up.

Thanks
New Mostly OK
In the beginning, when it was bad, Goggle and Firefox flagged it, but IE via Bing or Yahoo would be quite happy to send people to the site. Then after a bit, Bing figured it out, and IE started kicking various errors (not all related, sometimes we got bogus SSL cert messages!)

I then fixed it, submitted the request to rescan to Google.

10 hours later Google and Firefox started working, and a bit later, Bing picked it up as well.

But not f'ing Yahoo!

Some pages are good, others bad. Their search engine lags behind Bing, so they obviously used a cached version and not a direct pull.

Yahoo says talk to Bing if you disagree with their results. Bing is currently correct and most recent.

Bastards.
