Hi Drew, I just stopped by your new place today, saw, http://willpowerisfo...r-diet-is-a-jerk/ , and saw "Sign up as a guest to see the rest of this post." May I ask why you're going that route? I can understand why you'd want people to sign up to comment, and why you'd encourage people to sign up for newsletters and the like, but to even read an article? Aren't you going to substantially cut your readership by doing that? Are you hoping to get higher ad rates or something? Just curious. Thanks. Cheers, Scott.

Then they can collect tracking info on who reads what stories. Based on that data, they can make offers via email for paid products. Which is exactly what I'm doing. -- Drew
