After using it a few days...
I'm not sure I should have moved to it so quickly.
+ I like that it shows an existing tab if you start a URL location that is already open (very handy if you've got a few dozen tabs open and you forget or don't want to search through all of them).
+ It is pretty quick, even when heavily loaded
+ Hasn't crashed
+ The bottom "Add-On Bar" is easy to hide, giving another line or so of text
+ Tools -> Add-Ons -> Extensions gives a lot of information about what's installed in FireFox (it's a web page now, not a dialog-ish box).
- It seems much more RAM-heavy (1 GB for 62 tabs?!?)
- Some of my add-ons haven't been updated yet
- The Reload button is at the far end of the URL bar even on Winders (as it is on Safari), while the Back button is at the left edge of the window. Lots of extra mouse motion seems to be necessary. (I mostly use Ctrl-R instead).
- I haven't noticed a huge speedup (like, say, the first time I used Chrome)
It's a fine improvement, but not earth-shattering. I probably could have waited a while without missing out on much.
Cheers,
Scott.
