Welcome to IWETHEY!

New OK...here we go
I need to get a pretty thorough lesson in network management and bandwidth...both from a ground basis and a satellite basis (terrestrial and space based)....

need to know and be able to speak in terms of T1, T3, OC3, MPLS, PRI...also in terms of Ku, C and X band...how fibre is split...

In other words...it used to be enough for me to only understand the network as it applied to me inside the house (or office..ethernet, routers, switches)...now I need to know how it got to my home/office in the first place..and then I need to know how these things are managed...

Any pointers on a good information source to start?
Sure, understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head. But...there they are.
New What about WikiPedia?
And then go elsewhere from there.

Q:Is it proper to eat cheeseburgers with your fingers?
A:No, the fingers should be eaten separately.
New A couple of cheat sheets and some images that may help.

New The Satellite bands have proper names, too.
Which is really only nice trivia. They're on the EMR spectrum poster ThinkGeek sells.
