Amazon erases certain books on Kindle due to content
By: Laura Khalil ÂDecember 15, 2010
Amazon is playing judge and jury with certain books in the Kindle store, most recently removing an "incest-themed erotica" novel from its store, Ars Technica reports.
While that type of book definitely has a niche market, this is an unusual move from Amazon which recently defended the sale of PedophileÂs Guide to Love and Pleasure saying:
ÂAmazon believes it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable. Amazon does not support or promote hatred or criminal acts, however, we do support the right of every individual to make their own purchasing decisions.Â
Amazon did an about face with the PedophileÂs Guide, removing the book without comment. Now itÂs going after self-published author Selena Kitt, which wrote a novel that addresses the theme of Âincest-themed eroticaÂ, as well as several other authors that write on the same topic.

Anyone ever hear their rationale for 1984?
And ... removing: REMOTELY!?
Instant censorship-by-caprice ... and this 'beats' Real Books, er. How?
