You like to throw around percentages, as in the percentage of the total tax receipts paid by various segments of the population. Let's look at percentage of net worth paid by various segments.

So, for the top percentages, are any of them paying more than 50% of their net worth each year in taxes? More than 25%? More than 5%?

Then of the bottom percentages, those with negative net worth ... well, the math seems to be completely different at that point, doesn't it?

(Let's ignore, for the sake of argument, the huge numbers of people who have gone underwater on bad mortgages in the last decade.)
