![]() Bitchin pix -- how find stuff like That? amidst the dross.
Loved the Danes' circular suburbs + green space. Decades ago I saw how far ahead of US they were, in experimenting with better ways than 'boxes made of ticky-tack'; I see they haven't regressed. Still way ahead of pretentious Mcmansions (over or under-water.) And I've seen one of those French cemeteries, of the many scattered across the verdant countryside -- with the rows-to-infinity and perfectly manicured surroundings. From the air? Pretty much as I expected, except that infinity is in sight. 'Mine' was empty of live humans, except for me ... eerie. A pic of that place of, say 20' x 40' should be mandatory across the back wall of any Govt. agency -well-illuminated- when voting for the Next War. (And preceded by a performance of The Green Table ballet; maybe the most concise, al-punte danced-screed against cynical Corporate Warz I've ever witnessed) (Yeah, I know -- nobody wants to deal with Real stuff when they can watch Reality Tee Vee for free.) |

NC is seeing some of the undeveloped subdivisions too... like http://maps.google.c...3603,0.01929&z=16 But must admit, the SW Florida area was really going overboard. Sure, understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head. But...there they are.

![]() (As to that 'gated community' whose aerial view suggests nothing so much as, a series of stacked cell-blocks:
do the gates keep the scaredy-cat perps In / or the scary wannabe-perps Out? (Does it matter?)) Liked one response: The ship is without captain, take everything you can before it sinks, the earth has enough for everyone, but not enough for everyone's greed. As the Chinese, embracing the US-form of vulture capitalismo to the max and with the sterility of Purpose of every totalitarian mindset -- improve their land acquisitions for more biz-Efficiency -- perhaps the remains of Tibet can next be razed for some of those gated-cell-blocks, to be seen in a future Google Space panorama? It needs a soundtrack though; how about? The Day Paradise Put Up a Parking Lot |

![]() CNN: News reportage? Mediocre on a rilly-Good day.. News analysis? Hey, let's Really Invade Iraq / Good Plan!
What to Do for a Living? (in a clinically insane society?!?) -- be a Manager of something! == of a bunch of people ... whether it's as fucking deadly-boring as CPA/Tax-law-manipulating or ... etc. IF.. this selection, full of biz-tech variants (what, maybe 20 for 'IT' with duties-all-overlapping??) -- were about the 'Best Jobs' in Murica, we'd be a sorrier-assed bunch of preverts than even I think. I'd think this list would be Scary to any bright young lass or lad, hoping to do something worth-the-doing and also being able to eat. And not pretend a Love for the Corporation as an essential part of the day's worship. Nary a word about Ed-ja-Kay-shun, (let alone education) and all its literate spin-offs. Not art, music, medico (other-than the RockStar $1000/hr honchos at the top.) Yeah.. they got a social worker in there. Science? nahhh -- just 'managers' in corporate settings, say of Corporate Labs-to-sell-stuff (or cya on the toxic effects, if noticed by anyone with a big enforcement stick?) Weird, all the omissions. What a mindset, assembling this inane list of Ways to spend a Life. (And bitchin as Boolean is.. for solving stuff: there ain't nothing there which points toward the slightest extraordinary pursuit) ... Beethoven, Feynman, (or even Stand-Up comic: one of the last refuges of truthiiness?) philosophy, literature, music, art of any Kind. The CNN god is Mammon and they think that's >All< there is out there. 'Best' == Most-overpaid for a day's stint: and all the rest is satisfiction. Anyway, a pretty sterile assortment entirely biased towards Bizness being the raison d'etre for any good-Murican cha. cha. cha. Don't show this list to any kid with a decent mind, y'hear ?? |
