Welcome to IWETHEY!

New I'm not an expert, but...
and this is New South Wales biased, and, if you were to fall nicely into the marketing firms' demographics...

The blokey bloke working-class-man types would all drink Victoria Bitter. (aka VB, Vitamin B, a can of green....)

The high flying suit-and-tie corporate city workers would all drink Crown Lager (aka Crownies)

Everybody in between would drink Tooheys New (aka Give That Man A...)

The most expensive beer in Australia currently is Duff beer. Only a small amount of it was made before Fox or whoever had big lawyers jump up and down on the company that produced it. It now goes for, oh ... (sold.com.au is my friend)... $75 - $120 for an unopened can.

New Please gimme a Queen Vicky then, mate!
New And is Vegemite a by-product of these? :)

New Yup!
Philip Morris, er, Kraft, buy the yeast byproduct from pretty much all Australian breweries. This was discovered when Dick Smith (very pro-Australian business entrepreneur type) tried to produce his own version of Vegemite - so Australians could buy Vegemite that wasn't owned by an American company. But, no yeast, so no Dick Smith Aussiemite.

On another note, he did (briefly) market his own matches called Dickheads. I am not making this up. He also markets his own cheese - not called Dick Cheese, mercifully :-)
