Now we can't do the hospital because insurance won't cover it and I'm not even going to ask John to cover it.
So they are trying to help me make the prep more manageable on my own. I get to take pills instead of drinking stuff, and they said I can have my headache medicine up till the day before. (This had been questionable before).
I have a friend who is willing to come spend the day with me and assist me with the prep until John is through with work, and I'm supposed to find out what sorts of clear liquid drinks and broths have protein so I won't pass out from lack of that.
I also have to assess every single medication I take and figure out what I can not take and what I need, and if it will interfere with the test.
It all seems a bit overwhelming, but my friends seem to be stepping up to the task of helping me
The test is also moved to October 28th as outpatient surgery, so we are trying to get me in quicker. I'm writing detailed lists of questions and sending them to the doctor's offices and surgery center so I know exactly what to do and not to.
Ashton, thank you for the info, some of it seems to still be valid for the outpatient procedure time. John will be there with me that day and he's good at being the observer.
I'm still scared, but the good news is the pain I was having for 4 days has subsided now and thus the anxiety attacks with it. (whew). My regular doctor said I can double up my anxiety medication if needed too.
Thank you all for your encouragement, it's appreciated.
