New Didn't they see the preview?
This movie started out as a fake preview in Grindhouse.

I haven't seen the movie, I've seen the fake preview. And if the movie isn't a ridiculously violent movie with a psycho Mexican taking out cartoonish rednecks and a slimy politician, I'm going to be quite disappointed.

This movie is not intended as a thoughtful and well-balanced examination of the issues. It is (I sincerely hope) a Tarantino-sponsored Grand Guignol bloodbath.

What a bunch of whiners. Oh, somebody's feelings are going to get hurt, we can't have that.

I think it's perfectly clear we're in the wrong band.

New Re: Didn't they see the preview?
My son and I are dying to see it, just because of this quote:

"I don't believe I've ever seen a human intestine employed in the manner in which it is employed in this movie, and I mean that in a good (albeit nauseating) way."

from Richard Roeper's review http://www.suntimes....te-090310.article where he gives it 3 1/2 stars.

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from."
