Saturating the ground... we are getting seepage in the basement now... we have only had it once in 17 years... three times so far this year alone. We had standing water on Thursday everywhere outside for about a half an hour... rain coming down at such a clip its just collected and stayed... no place to go. Bleah... seems weather this year is pretty extreme.

(Heat is supposed with thunderstorms tonight.) Instead, they've told us about a place where the creek is 4 feet deep and you can go swimming. Didn't know about that. -- Drew

They were just about to start cooking when there was a rumble and everything shut off. Looks like the transformer at the end of the street went bye-bye. They crashed on our couches because our A/C is still on. Now I think that if it had been lightning they would have heard a bang. It was probably just overloaded from everyone having their A/C on, and cooking dinner at the same time.
