The median duration of unemployment is higher today than any time in the last 50 years. That's an understatement. It is more than twice as high today than any time in the last 50 years.

I really depressing graph. That isn't the point of the article though, the article points out that we are in uncharted waters economically here. Anybody who tells you that they know exactly what is going on or how to fix it is wrong.
