New Surprised Cisco is not in a tizzy over the new name.
IOS used to be (might still be) the name of the routers OS they use.
New Shouldn't be a problem
Cisco has Internet Operating System. If Apple tried using that, Cisco would own their ass. I don't think even an oligarch can patent or trademark a TLA. I could be wrong.
New Cisco might *like* to
But it hasn't worked so well in the past, on a much more clear-cut case: http://blogs.cisco.c...iphone_trademark/

Note the new iOS4 will support CIsco SSL VPN client natively. Wonder if that had anything to do with it?
