New Re: In training to the the President

Oh, community activist, community organizer...same thing, right?

It is to Republicans.

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from."

New and what would it be to...
anyone else?

go ahead, parse those semantics!

(did he fire eight syllables, or only seven...in all this excitement...I've kind of lost track myself)

Feeling lucky.
I will choose a path that's clear. I will choose freewill.
New Re: and what would it be to...
It all depends on the intention of the person defining the terminology, and what their political bias is. If it's a Democrat talking about Obama, then he's a community organizer; if it's a Republican talking about Obama, then he's a community activist (with all of the negative connotation that they can assume in that label).

New Oh, I see.
So I make a crack about it being the same..and now its a Republican conspiracy to discredit community organizers.

Wow, call me el Rushbo.
I will choose a path that's clear. I will choose freewill.
New "now" ???
It's been a Republican conspiracy since early 2008. Have you been asleep since then?

New I remember it being
more of a campaign of asking "what the hell is a community organizer?" which was responded to with a return campaign of "Jesus was a community organizer".

Don't recall them calling him a community activist. If so, my bad...or to answer the question...Yes I have been sleeping since then.
I will choose a path that's clear. I will choose freewill.
