That was unintentional
Not that I'd have left it out had I realized what it sounded like, but I didn't notice that when I wrote it.

Which is...
EXACTLY THE REASON it has to be an LRPD

That's funny
In the late 70s I got a taffy pulling machine for Christmas. Same layout as in this video, but made of plastic and hand cranked. I think we used it twice before deciding it wasn't worth the effort.

This was a total pain in the … arms, actually. We won’t be trying this again. Drew, you have to another "adventurous" recipe like this. So ripe for good lines! :-) Wade. Q:Is it proper to eat cheeseburgers with your fingers? A:No, the fingers should be eaten separately. |

Classic Corn Syrup is not the same as HFCS
Corn syrup is used in the production of food.
HFCS is used in the production of toxic semi-foodlike industrial products. ---------------------------------------

But is it available retail?
Right now if I want corn syrup for a recipe, I can choose between light and dark Karo. And both of those have HFCS.

yes erm no beehive corn syrup is canadian
If we torture the data long enough, it will confess. (Ronald Coase, Nobel Prize for Economic Sciences, 1991)

Can't tell if that has HFCS
The nutrition label lists the ingredients as: GLUCOSE, GLUCOSE-FRUCTOSE, WATER, REFINERS' SYRUP, SALT
I can't tell from that how the various ingredients were processed. Funny note: I would have known it was a Canadian product even if you hadn't told me. The third auto-suggested link when I googled for it was "beehive corn syrup hockey cards". --

Not what it says here

I wonder if it's regional, or if one of us has an old bottle
