in Hollywood.. since its first agglomeration; wonder how they ever imagined anyone would sit through the complete Birth of a Nation.

The original footage looks much better than the DVD copy I have, which predates the 2001 restoration. The newly discovered footage is quite obvious due to it's image quality. Score! - per Kino's website, it'll be released on bluray as well. They'll be available in November. http://www.kino.com/metropolis/ Theatre dates - what's odd is I don't get a scroll bar. I was able to scroll the list by selecting text and dragging towards the bottom. Sadly no Texas dates. http://www.kino.com/...is/playdates.html |
