China is quite concerned about the wives problem.
They are quite aware that, as in Islamic countries, where there is a shortage of women there is no shortage of violence.
What women there are in China can fetch pretty much any price they want, and only the rich guys can afford it. So there will be a large pool of lower class young men with no future and a strong grudge against the well to do.
