SCO bet on being able to hoodwink jury by playing "It's the big bad guys against poor little us".
The jury was not amused.

It's been over before
This is a good thing, but you can expect appeals and more suits as long as SCO has money.
I've been pretty disappointed in the bankruptcy trustee, who apparently took SCO's legal position at face value and figured the company could make a fortune if it could hold on long enough to finish the lawsuits. A better trustee would have realized there was something fishy about the story he was getting from the SCO executives, and got an independent review of SCO's suits. That would have shown him that they where somewhere between worthless and baseless. Instead we are getting a lingering set of lawsuits that is doing nothing but transferring money to the lawyers. Lots of activity in SCO stock today.
Last close U.S. $0.46 - Today's close $0.10.
Oooo . . . look at that. Earlier this month fools were paying over $0.80 for it, up from $0.18 from last November - somebody thought they were going to win! SCO Group says it's going ahead with its lawsuit against IBM on contract grounds. That should provide continuing amusement. |
