Maybe.

You know this will go commercial long before the long term effects are known I'm old enough to take the chance on me, but I suspect the next generation won't be as hopeful (or forgiving).

I see it protecting the delicate inner surfaces of lungs from all that corrosive oxygen, and sealing in all that CO2 goodness.
