I dunno.
If Obama's limited "freeze" is passed reasonably quickly and takes the issue off the table, I think it's a good thing. It takes away a talking point, or at least reduces it. And it would be a decent foundation for future changes to the budget. It shows that the Administration and Congress actually can restrain the budget.
But expecting it to pass quickly is probably far too much to ask.
I would expect the Republicans to want to talk this out for months, to delay any quick "victory" for the Administration.

The elephant in the bedroom is the economy is still very very weak...
It'll be interesting to see how he addresses the +/- arguments tomorrow.
