Considering that the Senate tried to pass that bill (to allow importing of drugs from Canada for pharm. to resell...) McCain co-sponsored (among others) it but it was killed.
Now, McCain is the pathological liar. :-) "IÂve been around here 20-some years. First time IÂve ever seen a member denied an extra minute or two to finish his remarks. Â
I just havenÂt seen it before myself. And I donÂt like it. And I think it harms the comity of the Senate not to allow one of our members at least a minute. IÂm sure that time is urgent here, but I doubt that it would be that urgent."
