Welcome to IWETHEY!

New They're not THAT big.
The folding wossname doesn't look durable enough for its target market, i.e. me; the traveller with lots of things to charge up, who will fold and unfold this thing a lot, and who will not treat it with any respect at all.

HOWEVER.

The three-into-one bit has me delirious with joy. Hotels never put enough plugs in the right place.

Never.

It's a rule of the universe.
New No, not that big. Hyarge! (Agree with you re hotels though)
They said I was gullible ... and I believed them
New Hyarge?
haven't heard that before, and google wasn't helpful in deciphering its meaning :-)

Not that big? The face of the UK plug is 4.85 x 4.4 cm (1.9 x 1.7 in). A 3-prong plug in the US is 2.54 x 2.54 (1.0 x 1.0 in). Depth here can vary here as there's no fuse in the plug.
New Hyarge == huge + large, I think. IOW, very very big. :-)
New We gots 240VAC going through it, and a fuse.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BS_1363 has more info on our plugs than you ever wanted to know.

It's not a daft design.

Although anyone who has stood on one may disagree.
New The term 'over-engineered' comes to mind. :-)

Q:Is it proper to eat cheeseburgers with your fingers?
A:No, the fingers should be eaten separately.
