you're doing way better than me - every recruiter I've talked to in the past several months all tell me how I'm "paying for the sins of past employers"; meaning: places I've worked at in the past didn't use the programming language and/or software packages of choice that more companies are demanding today. Teaching them to myself are meaningless because recruiters and future employers want to see them on your resume.
