I think I even mentioned it here as the end of commercial aviation as we know it.

My idea was that a really smart terror organization would notice that the policy is to react to the latest tactic. The smart terrorists would make sure their guy got caught with a rectal bomb, forcing the NTSA to make cavity searches (the article says "strip naked" - that's putting it very mildly) part of the airport routine. Far more disruptive than just blowing up a plane.
