New hmm, too lazy to type need some help
We have a wiki that wants to display all sorts of info from lab servers, os patch application rev etc etc
could manually do it but then things will change and not be kept up. Can wiki pages be dynamic? Say when clicking a link a script can query servers and then display results?
any hints would be helpful.
I have a script that queries the servers for some items, then echo's the output with wiki editing tags which I cut and paste into a wiki page right now.
New Could probably set your script up to be called by the Wiki
Put an "update this page" button on it that calls your script. Problem with dynamic pages is every Wiki I've seen has the concept of revisions. Each version of each page has to have a revision number. So it can't be completely dynamic, but you can design it to pull new data on command, or on schedule.
