Interesting site that charts the political leanings of the Supreme Court Justices over time. Some of the leanings look a bit odd until you realize that it is relative to the history of the court, not relative to US political leanings. Thus the court's overall average is 0, rather then being somewhat on the conservative side. And the color looks to be a bit tinted towards red if you look at the near 0 rankings.

Still fascinating to see how certain judges have shifted over time. Also confirms that Clarence Thomas is actually one of the most conservative judges in the history of the court.
