New Security, or security theater?
Do they have more stringent background checks for first class?

Do the define how much of the plane needs to be first class? How close the first business class seat can be to the cockpit?

How does this all work with Southwest, which only has one class for the whole plane?

The answer to your first question is: Yes. The security check is: Do you have more money than sense? If the answer is Yes (which it is, because you're in First Class fer chrisssakes), then you are, by definition, not a security risk.
