Anti-depression drugs are to correct physiological problems with behavioral and emotional manifestations, or for coping with short-term emotional trauma. They are not for dulling the psychic pain of daily experience with genuinely fucked up shit. How could anyone think that's not going to come back to haunt people, literally. -- Drew

In addition some troops are receiving Ambien to help with sleep problems, another common complaint of the troops, and/or antianxiety drugs to deal with stress. While we don't know the exact mix of drugs being prescribed to any given soldier, it is not hard to imagine an individual soldier taking three different drugs each day to deal with the fear and stress of living in a dangerous environment 24/7 for months or years.

Many combinations of drugs have not been tested properly, and then we give them MORE SHIT to combat Psychosis? Man are we fscked up or what... far worse problems now than in Vietnam. Its gonna hurt us for years and years.

Even given rampant Murican innumeracy and the boot-camp rote-training of 'MD's -- Fuck It - words fail more and more often re the Cluelessness of the entire kultur.
