Gardenburger: not really trying to be like meat at all, so they don't fail

Ruby Tuesday, of all places: I've never found one like theirs in the stores. It's quite good for a veggie patty IMO.

My wife has some recipes for good patties as well; by and large the mass produced ones aren't all that good. I agree with you: make something interesting in a patty form if you want to have it on a bun, but don't try to replicate something that takes an animal to produce properly.
