New Not likely
As long as they remain in the US, the top Bush officials are highly unlikely to ever get charged for torture.

But there is a group that will probably not be able to leave the US except under very controlled circumstances for fear of being arrested. Cheney, Gates, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft and Gonzales and their top aids. Even Bush would probably have to take some care. They would have to get promises ahead of time that they will not be arrested, and travel continuously in a tight security containment to keep them away from the public and those that might try for an arrest.

New Might happen, actually
The Right is starting to devour the Infestation. Palin first, but the story is starting to be that Bush wasn't a real conservative.

Now, I think this is unlikely to translate into anything real, because there is too much money involved, too many connections, and those who are feeling betrayed by the Infestation are not in a position to do prosecutions.

And a lot of the "feeling betrayed" is really just rats jumping off a sinking ship, and they aren't about to stop to shoot back.

But I don't think the current players are as safe as they thought they would be. At the very least, there will be retirements that are not entirely voluntary.
