jabber-muc is installed, and as far as I can tell, configured. I've set it up in /etc/default/jabber-muc. I've installed the script in /etc/init.d. I've configured the hostname to be conference.jabber.mikevitale.com. I've set that up as a valid hostname and restarted bind9.

root@sixoftwo jabber]$ netstat -an | grep 5222 | grep LISTEN

tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:5222            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN     

Not sure what else needs doing.
