J voted early on Saturday (the last day of early voting here). It took her about 75 minutes.

I voted this morning and it took about 1 minute. Thank goodness for early voting! :-)

Compared to 2004, they had more tables for checking people in (3 versus 2), and we're using SAT bingo cards and optical scanners now (rather than flat screen PCs) with about 12 stations for filling them in (versus about 6 PCs). It went extremely well. The sticker-lady said there was a line at 6:00 when they opened, but in general there had been only a short wait.

There were about 503 votes cast when I checked the scanner - I think that's about double the 2004 election at roughly the same time, so it looks like they're being much more efficient this time.

Happy voting, everyone!

Cheers,
Scott.
