Obama's campaign has been based, from the beginning, on getting individuals involved and encouraging them to participate. The strength of this approach was revealed in Iowa and elsewhere.
Of course, it didn't work everywhere - he didn't win every primary. But it got him the nomination in a hard-fought, fairly close, race.
538 shows that McCain's campaign has no ground operation at all - at least not in comparison to Obama.
Either Obama is going to win in a blowout, or Get Out the Vote efforts are not as important as political operatives argue. Either way, it should be interesting Tuesday.
