New The Kinks - Word of Mouth
This album came out in November 1984. I was working as a traffic reporter in Dallas. I had the cassette tape and wore that sucker out! Every single song had something that resonated with me.

[link|http://www.metrolyrics.com/do-it-again-lyrics-kinks.html"|"Do It Again" ] was particularly apropos because I had to get up at 3 A.M. to get ready for work and drive from Benbrook to Stemmons and Regal Row. I wouldn't get home until 7 P.M. Bedtime was 9 P.M. "Get up, go out, do it again..."

I tried like hell to find Word of Mouth on CD, but all I could find was another cassette tape at CD Warehouse...it was used, in crappy shape, but at least I could listen to it again.

I own the vinyl, of course, but it is damn near unplayable. So, you can imagine my joy (!) when I went on Big River and there it was!

I highly recommend this collection of songs. I only mentioned two, but the entire thing is something that you can listen to over and over again.

Give it a listen (if you haven't already). Let me know if you agree.
Smile,
Amy
