Not so good news: Education users (like me) don't get as big of a discount. Plus my ca. 2000 PowerMac G4 won't run it and is now officially obsolete. (My MacBook Pro, OTOH, should do just fine.)

Anyone else planning on upgrading and/or buying new kit?

My laptop is the only machine I have that will run Leopard.

However, the word on the street is that you can set it up to backup to network-attached storage.

Funnily enough, the new Airport base station has built-in support for NAS. Not only that, but a recent Airport software update lets you set the NAS disks to auto-mount when detected.

Things that make you go hmmmmm...
