Speaking of St. Louis water...
I have no idea what went on with Todd, but I have been holding on to this link to post here for a couple months now...
The water in St. Louis? It\ufffds clearly superior By Jake Wagman St. Louis Post-Dispatch (MO)\tJune 26, 2007
Time to raise a glass to St. Louis water - it's been named the best in the land. Mayors from around the country declared Monday that St. Louis water rises to the top. The water was judged on taste, clarity and aroma.
St. Louis bested four other finalists, chosen from an original field of more than 90 cities.
David Visintainer, the city's water commissioner, is soaking it up."That's a pretty great honor," he said....Our water is especially clear." ... Visintainer isn't sure how the City Water Department will celebrate, but he said, if there is a party, don't expect bottled water.

All the better to conceal the intoxicants.
Vodka is also crystal clear - and is judged on taste and aroma.
In a prize example of misinterpretation of results I remember some men's magazine ran a blind tasting to see whether experts could tell vodkas apart. Most of the judges picked the ringer - chemically pure ethanol cut with distilled water.
The sponsors boasted this proved even experts can't tell one vodka from another - so buy the cheapest.
Non-morons will note it proves just the opposite, that judges can tell one from another and the closer it is to chemically pure ethanol cut with distilled water the better it will rate.

AFAICR, you did already, a few months back.
And we didn't let it spoil our fun then either. :-)

Huh? Are you saying I had posted it already?
I don't remember doing that at all.
And I'm not sure how that would have been possible, as I was 2 months or more behind on papers and finally caught up to that article a week back or so.
But if I did, I apologize and I did a search and could not find it, so if someone can point me to the original posting about the article, I'd appreciate it.
As for it not spoiling your fun, that was never my intention. I was more surprised than anyone that our water was rated the best.

It may well have been someone else, or somewhere else...
...I just thought I'd seen it posted here (I'm sure I've seen it *somewhere*), and now that you mentioned it, I thought that must have been you. But, hey, everybody knows I'm going senile, so never mind me.
(And you bet we're going to continue speculating it's something in the water. How else could Bud be *so* hideously bad?!? :-)

Thanks for clearing that up guys. :)
I hadn't seen Greg's post either, but it's nice to know I wasn't wrong, because I hadn't read it till recently. ;)
I'm trying to catch up in here, but the everything-marked-new is giving me trouble, was there any easy way to solve that? If not, I'll keep muddling through.
