Like a single-minded salmon I returned to my old spawning grounds at UC Santa Cruz, there to have my picture taken in front of the Cowell fountain—as I have done every five birthdays since my twentieth. Whippersnappers... with the phlegmmy rasp of decrepitude, Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist.
