Happy birthday, Rand! {rcareaga}
Technically, I would have to wait another hour or so to post this for the West Coast, but this is close enough.
Have a good one!

Thank you all
I spent the day revisiting some of the haunted precincts of my youth. Like a single-minded salmon I returned to my old spawning grounds at UC Santa Cruz, there to have my picture taken in front of the Cowell fountain—as I have done every five birthdays since my twentieth. It's not [link|http://www.zabriskiegallery.com/Nixon/TBS/nixonimages.htm|the Brown Sisters], but so few things are...
Oh, and knock it off with the "curmudgeon" stuff until at least 2017, 'kay? Whippersnappers...

Well now, at least...
It got a coat of paint and some apparent restoration in the last 5 years.
And the guy in the photo doesn't look quite as bad as he thinks he does. Also, it seems his tastes are creeping back towards "72-77" sense of style... 'cept for the long and probably luxurious hair style.
What is old, is new again... at least there isn't a drought this year.

You have aged wonderfully well, sir!
No disrespect, of course, to your younger self, but your sequence puts me in mind of such people as Sean Connery or Michael Parkinson, who, over the years, have changed considerably in appearance and not for the worse! :-)
