Not that I'm sure he meant to say, specifically, that he was being a *loud* pedant... But if that's what he meant, the guy's name was "Stentor", without any 'a'.
OTOH, if it were totally correctly spelt, nobody would probably be able to recognize it for a BOxleian LRPDism, so maybe in the end it's best left as is...
