Interesting.
I think the course would have driven me nuts, though.
Cheers, Scott.

I am the answer!
Now, what was the question? :)
Nice find.

Good one!
Matthew Greet
Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin? - Mark Renton, Trainspotting.

Boffo! crazy-guy
Truly Bitchin. Why.. it's all about scaleandrelativity {too.} Makes my whole week, esp. after hearing pols endlessly regurgitating unimaginitive 'solutions' for and to a nation of smug cluless narcissists.
A cousin of [link|http://schoolnet.gov.mt/thinkingskills/thinkingtools.htm| Edward de Bono], some of whose sessions of the Thinking Course I have still, on beta tapes.
It's a great way of throwing right out, the normalcourseexpectations of the jelloware, for a fresh start. (I recall also the same opening gambit - binary division / successive approximation - as the root Idea of a small coil-bound book called, Logical Electronic Troubleshooting --Ex: the sleuthing of a serial chain of amplifiers (and all 'chains'.))
I wish.. I'd been exposed to Any of these authentically awake honchos First! way-before the 'prescriptive teaching' ever began. Even at The Institute\ufffd, where one fully expects to encounter rilly Clever folk, I can recall only a few events with a very-few teachers who grokked these ideas, even artlessly. (mostly, re techno - these were {sigh} grad students. Top brass at lectures, only.)
There is so bloody-little! Thought in this world of -now- exponentially-climbing (thus Useless-) data == storage of unsorted-Everything; just-because-We-Can. Purest: Rumpelstiltskin inAction. Another rarity: not only does Mr. Niquette have a 'game plan', as well as handy icons for the varieties of snoozing students, but he can even explain what his recipe is (and he need not 'explain' that his approach mirrors Life, because if he had to...
Sincere Thanks, deranged-one, for a worthy addition to my miniscule Basic-BASICS file.

deranged-one?
Hey, I resemble that remark.
On the other hand, meeting Wade today, was an interesting experience in thinking about my online presentation.
He imagined me a lot bigger.

Taller.
I thought you were a much taller person. The way someone - I forget who - described you some years ago, I imagined someone who was 6'9" or something. :-)
