New DIdn't get this way overnight, can't be fixed overnight
But it could sure the hell fall apart overnight when Ghawar and Cantarell crashe and our strip mall construction business goes away.

Author on NPR just this AM; anecdote -
while travelling around Old Greenwich CT, where the arbs and merger folk play with their hoards - he was at Ferrari dealership. Stone mason walks in (author already had wigged to fact that - no longer are 'clothes' to be assessed - to discern a billionaire.)

Had a little chat with him. Seems that so many of the folks what gets all all them tax breaks are tryin to outdo each other - locally, with stone walls, fireplaces.. other Visible appurtenances - that --- the guy is now beyond that piddling 'millionaire' status.

(Tip for the entrepreneur: marketing hardened compounds for those needing to store all the stuff they've ripped off from the other folk - hmmm IT needed too? to run the security camera banks and check the auto-machine-gun robots for virii; helicopter, boat electronics... service the car Glock, the bedroom Glock, the yacht Glocks ... )

And so it goes

New Socks for Glocks and Glocks in Socks! :-)
New Security camera banks - auto-machine-gun robots
Yeah, we had one like that out here. A couple surrounded their property with a 12 foot razor wire topped chain link fence, motion detection devices everywhere, searchlights, guns - the whole 9 yards.

Pictures were in the papers because the neighbors were pretty annoyed. Besides the chain link, towers and razor wire not fitting in with the neighborhood landscaping the sirens, searchlights and loudspeaker warnings would be going off in the night every time a raccoon messed with their fence.

About a year and a half later I read that they'd both died, probably from terminal paranoia.
