No clients called with pressing needs this morning, so I detailed the bedroom (which badly needed the treatment - a couple of the obscure corners hadn't been touched for more than 20 years).
Found a few exoskeletal hard parts of long departed girlfriends, earrings mostly, and put them in the little drawer where I keep such mementos of good times past.
Unfortunately I couldn't clean the light fixtures - 20 years and too fragile to be touched. Found a place in Pennsylvania that has the required 41-inch hand painted paper parasols, so I'll be able to replace them by next week.
The room needs to be re-painted but I can't get to that for a couple of months. It was last painted 30 years ago and I used the recommended matt wall paint at the time so the walls aren't really washable. I always use semi-gloss now, and high gloss in kitchen and bathroom which makes the walls much more washable.
