Jay Stuart (our HR Manager) just stopped by and thanked me for sending my friend's resume his way. I explained how I know you through a IT professional community on the Internet, and while I don't know you personally, I have seen a version of your resume and you have the skills that we need. He replied that you certainly seemed to have a lot of what we could use, but he wasn't sure what our IS Director, my ex-manager and current manager have set up as far as personnel needs. He forwarded it on to the former HR manager, who has returned to fill in part-time while Mr. Stuart is off on Reserves duty.
One point, though, is that he thought that I knew you personally and you were also from Austin.
But for what it's worth, it's still a good sign.
