An Iranian diplomat in
Iraq seized two months ago by uniformed gunmen has been released,
Iran reported Tuesday, while in Baghdad a senior foreign ministry official said his government was "intensively" seeking the release of five Iranians detained there by the U.S.

Good signs for the British. The US has already said it will not release the Iranians that it holds, but if both the British and Iraqi governments are looking for it, it will be hard for the US to hold out.

Amusingly enough everybody involved is still saying they don't know who was holding the Iranian official, even though the Iraqi government was able to effect his release instantly.
