The deed was done. Todd, Tony, Ben, Carl, myself, and, um, special guest. Hope Ashton's worked off the cold.
A slight delay (for all the right reasons) in getting things underway temporized by a trip to the neighboring Starbucks. Absolutely beautiful day (no, that's not normal CA weather, Ben, really, it's not. We insist.), I'm pretty certain we could just make out the Sierras -- 170 mile visibility -- as well as a panorama from the Faralons to SF, Montara Mountain, Moffit Field, San Jose, Mission Peak, Mt. Diablo, Berkeley, Mt. Saint Helena, and Point Reyes. Route as specified, stops for photo-ops en route (Tony's got a digital camera, be afraid, be very afraid). Lots of good conversation and a few sore muscles (mostly jaw from what I could tell). Chili dogs, bagels, and hot tea at the summit, along with several lungfuls of biting wind.
Thanks all, next plans are a Napa housewarming of significant proportions.
