Perfect application
look at how they got Scooter. Ask him on a dozen occassions >his< version. Compare the dozen for changes in wording...and convict for perjury cause your story changed.
This one says...I'm not giving you anything to compare because its obvious your looking for a fall guy...and it isnt going to be me.

Far from Perfect
Scooter tried to say that Russert is the one who told him about Valeria Plame and he got nailed. The others were better liars.

Not quite
The others cut a deal and came clean. Libby was too dumb.

Close
She KNOWS she's about to be hung out to dry by her boss. He already told Schumer it was her fault. So no matter what, she's screwed. She's probably not high enough in the chain to warrant being a GW buddy, which means no pardon for her on his way out the door. So she has to cut a deal. And the only way she can be sure of total immunity is to clam up right now, and hope there is not enough circumstantial evidence to take her out anyway. And they want to work up the chain, so if she's the link, she's golden.

Furthermore, Congress will want her testimony....
it's likely she was told to say "X"....which means even more people can get convicted. :-)

You're right.
Seeing as how taking the fifth is all about not being forced to testify against yourself in a crime. And she is accused of committing a crime... er wait. You appear to be saying she is using this as a way to keep from being forced to perjure herself. I thought telling the truth was the only protection you needed for that. How silly of me.
Interestingly enough, she does appear to have a valid case for pleading the fifth. It's just not anything remotely related to your "reasoning". I sincerely doubt any MSM outlet will cover this so I'll just say, causing someone to give false evidence. That's a crime. See McNulty's testimony.

Keep telling yourself that.
And hope that you are never forced into a situation where you are questioned dozens of times about various aspects, then have that compared to your entire retained email library and any other snippets of official correspondence you have ever recorded.
Taking the 5th is the exact path to take, regardless of whether you feel you have committed a crime or not.

Next, this will be expanded to cover...
...that poor innocent fall guy Scooter Libby himself, too -- I can see it already:
"Not being able to remember *exactly* the same way, many many times in a row, how it all happened was his ONLY crime, as I explained on ZiWT back in early '07..."
Sheesh, BeeP, you're becoming too predictable for this to be any fun anymore!
And the rest of you, just don't for a second think I won't say "Told ya so!" when he gets around to pulling that one.

Look at the accusation
and look at the conviction.
Has nothing to do with guilty or innocent. All the big cases of the last several years have all ended with convictions...
...for perjury.
She's got a smart lawyer. Can't perjure yourself if you don't talk.

And don't forget "know" too
If the search worked, I'd link to my post where Karl Rove asked for a definition of the word "know" while under oath.

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow
