Funny you say 'suited'
I've started a 'shit-storm' at the office by NOT coming into work in a polo shirt and khakis - but instead by wearing nice shirts, pants, and ties. Just bought a couple of sharp new suits; gonna wear one on Thursday and take a long lunch.
MANY are doing the same.
I've spread the word that if you wear those clothes all the time, no-one will know when or if you are actually interviewing. The many other abused ones like the idea.
As the general wardrobe in the company rises, the number of management meetings, 'focus groups' on 'improving the company', and long meetings in the boardroom has risen dramatically. The CEO has publicly said that reducing turnover was a goal, and I KNOW this has gotten a couple of directors in trouble.
Not sure whether any of this will help those left behind. If it does, great. If it doesn't, it still amuses me mightily.
