I suspect that if Gonzales is forced out that [link|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_F._Fielding|Fred Fielding] will get the nod. He's close to Bush and understands how he wants things done. Yoo, while certainly on the administrations wavelength, would have a lot of learning to do to come up to speed on the current issues. The tiny pragmatic corner of Bush's brain might think that it's not worth the pain.

Like you, I would be extremely shocked if Fitz were picked.
