I wanted to refinance 2 years ago
but couldn't because I was "off contract" too frequently in the past 5 years; no one would touch me with a good rate. Now that I'm more stable, the best I can get is 5.75% for a 30 year, 5.5% for a 15 year. Decent if you compare them to 10 years ago, high compared to 2 years ago.
In 3 years, my balloon pops, and then I'm screwed.
